Chanel's recent winter show, staged at the Grand Palais in Paris, was something of a nostalgic nod towards the fundamental elements of the house – strict tweed coats, reefer jackets in wool, byzantine crosses and ropes and ropes of pearls. All that classicism was offset by cool minimalism in the beauty department – the models' nails, painted in the perfect shade of winter grey, is my new obsession. Hello:
