India Hicks' latest book is a beautifully illustrated guide to her islander lifestyle and haute bohemian style
If you, like me, need an arsenal of coping mechanisms to ward off winter's gloom, then India Hicks' latest tome is the perfect tonic. This month, the designer launches India Hicks: Island Style (published by Rizzoli), a witty and beautifully photographed journal of decorating ideas, quite literally set in paradise. With a foreword by H.R.H The Prince of Wales, Hicks' book taps into her English childhood and the extraordinary influence of her legendary father, David Hicks, right through to her family’s current home on Harbour Island. Breezy and "under-decorated", Hicks' space combines carefree Caribbean culture with British colonial formality – and the results couldn't be dreamier.
