With its high-gloss suites filled with irreverent touches, this phillipe starck-designed hotel is at once prestigious and playfulChecking in to Le Royal Monceau is like stepping into the looking glass – quite literally. When Phillipe Starck reimagined the Paris hotel, he did so with such lavish abandon the establishment was promptly awarded a Palace Distinction, one of only six in the city with the honour. Styled around bold art deco themes, the heritage site now includes a monumental hall of mirrors created by British artist Stephen Smith, sumptuous art-filled suites with sexy mirrored bathrooms, a recording studio, art gallery and 99-seat cinema for private premieres, along with a state-of-the-art spa providing custom Clarins treatments. The hotel even offers a new children’s program, as if the Fantasia surrounds were not an adventure in themself. Le Royal Monceau Raffles is located at 37 Avenue Hoche, 7th arrondissement, Paris, France. Tel +33 1 42 99 88 00. |
