younger than springtime – the latest pre-season collections proved that floral prints are as popular as ever
Like a breath of fresh air, designers offered up a pretty array of botanical-themed looks for their pre-season collections. Stella McCartney, for one, showed a kind of joyous line-up that highlighted soft suiting dotted with meadow flowers against the palest pinks, whilst Valentino went for something bolder, ankle-length silhouettes in vibrant tropical patterns. Miuccia Prada was even tempted to intersperse a few painterly blooms in her spring men's collection, perhaps as a precursor to her upcoming women's show. One thing's clear: the look is easy to buy into: rather than competing, mixed florals have the ability to unexpectedly – and effortlessly – mesh.
