The latest must-have item from christian Dior’s accessory designer Camille Miceli, is all about playful irreverence
“Sometimes the simplest ideas can be the most striking,” says Camille Miceli. Take her word for it: the designer trained with Azzedine Alaïa and Karl Lagerfeld before signing on to create jewellery for Louis Vuitton in 2004 where she doubled as muse to the house's creative director Marc Jacobs. Nowadays Miceli, a mother to Romain, 13, conjures up wonderfully surprising bijoux for Christian Dior and Raf Simons. Her latest collection, entitled Mise en Dior, is playful – a single earring made in pearl, jade, opaline, ruby or sapphire, designed to adorn one ear in elegant irreverence. See, carefree!
