38 WEEKS THIS GORGEOUS – if glowing skin and glossy hair are the beauty benefits of pregnancy, then designer Aimee Winchester clearly received a triple dose. At the time of our shoot, the Little Winnie founder was eagerly anticipating the birth of baby Clementine – she already counts Coco, 8, Autumn, 6, and Juniper, 3, in her all-girl brood. Here, in a special portfolio captured by Amelia Fullarton, Aimee's tips for a happy pregnancy

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE RECENT BIRTH OF BABY CLEMENTINE – your fourth daughter. can you describe YOUR VIEWPOINT ON MOTHERHOOD AND HOW IT has CHANGED YOUR WORLD?

  1. Motherhood really is the hardest and most rewarding job in the world, but I do love it. Life is crazy with four children now, but it's an amazing crazy. Life is full, we have highs and lows, but there is so much joy watching your little people grow and develop, and that makes all the hard times worth it.

  3. AS A WORKING MOTHER, HOW DO YOU HOPE TO STRIKE A WORK-LIFE BALANCE
?

  4. My family will always come first, no matter what. I do think it is possible to create a healthy balance between work and motherhood, it all comes down to being organised and having support. My husband is an amazing support to me, and for this I have been able to maintain a healthy balance. As the girls get older a shift will happen and perhaps Little Winnie will expand its wings even more. For now it fits in beautifully with our life with four young children.

  1. TELL US ABOUT THE INSPIRATION BEHIND LITTLE WINNIE – HOW DID IT COME ABOUT AND WHAT WAS YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL? After I had my first daughter Coco, I really struggled to find nice sleepwear. I knew what I was after, in fact I wanted to dress her in similar styles to what I wore when I was a child: simple, classic, timeless pieces. It took me seven years to birth my ideas and three children later. But I can now finally dress my girls in organic simple and stylish sleepwear, that was my biggest goal.

  3. CREATIVELY, ONE THEME YOU KEEP RETURNING TO IS... Definitely a classic, timeless theme. Little Winnie isn't about the latest trends, we are creating pieces that don't date – you can ultimately keep them for years to come and pass them down the line.

  2. CAN YOU SHARE YOUR TOP TIPS FOR A HAPPY PREGNANCY?

1. Allow yourself time to nuture and look out for yourself.

2. Eat well. It is essential to eat fresh, wholesome food for yourself and bubs. I love the book Nourishing Traditions and made a lot of the recipes during and after pregnancy.

3. Make an effort to enjoy date nights with your partner.

4. Nest. Allow time to rest, one of my favourite things about being pregnant is preparing and gathering little treasures for our blessing to come.

5. And when your baby arrives: take time once a day to connect. I found this harder and harder with each pregnancy, as having so many children keeps you busy, but I made special time each evening to connect with my baby and her let her know how excited we were to meet her.

  1. DID YOU DISCOVER ANY WONDERFUL BEAUTY PRODUCTS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY THAT HAVE BECAME PART OF YOUR NEW ROUTINE? Honestly I can't go past coconut oil, pregnant or not, the stuff is incredible. During pregnancy, I lathered my belly in it daily and I really think it helped prevent stretch marks. Most importantly I was confident that I wasn't putting any harmful chemicals on my body.

  1. TELL US ABOUT LIFE IN BYRON BAY – WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO LIVE HERE AND WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT THE LIFESTYLEAfter our third daughter was born we really felt the need for more space and freedom. We were living in Sydney in a small apartment; Byron Bay was just calling us – we could rent a decent-sized house that was close to the ocean and send our girls to the local Steiner school, all the while surrounded by local organic produce which is extremely important to us. We made the plunge and have never looked back; we constantly feel like we are having a holiday in paradise.

  3. YOUR PERSONAL STYLE IS JUST AS GORGEOUS AS YOUR CHILDRENS’ LINE – HOW DOES YOUR STYLE CROSS OVER, AND HAVE YOU FOUND YOUR WARDROBE HAS CHANGED SINCE HAVING CHILDRENI feel like my style has matured over the last few years. l was only 21 when I had Coco, so I was still trying hard to keep up with youthful trends. These days, I am past trends and am just happy keeping it clean and simple, beautiful, thoughtful and classic. It's definitely about quality over quantity.

  1. WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE INDULGENCE: HOW DO YOU PAMPER YOURSELF AT THE END OF A BUSY WEEK ON THE GO? An ultimate indulgence would be a night away with my husband, but given we have a newborn I know it will be a little while until we can do that. Honestly, I feel just as good about going out to dinner on a Friday night with my family, not having to cook, being waited on and having a glass of wine. It's the best feeling – not to mention coming home and not having to do the dishes.

  3. LASTLY, CAN YOU DESCRIBE A FAVOURITE SUNDAY ROUTINE WITH YOUR FAMILY? Waking up slow and then heading to Harvest for the sourdough. On Sundays, we love to grab a yummy pastry and coffee, hang out in the garden with friends and then we usually hit the beach for the rest of the day. In summer we usually end the day with a barbecue dinner at Wategos beach, the best!
